Bart Grande sent me an email from Furnace, Pennsylvania.
He dropped his Nano 2nd Gen in water and then found me on the internet.

In his email, he requested I send an iAmbulance, which I did. I don't recommend this method of getting iPods here because of the time involved. I send it from to the destination (4 days) and then it waits 1 or days there to have the iPod packed and shipped and then another 4 days back to my local post office that then processes it the "return mail permit fees" (2 days sometimes 3) before final delivery.

For water/moisture cases, the iAmbulance adds about 10 days to final delivery here of the iPod when getting it here and open right away is critical.

I was not able to get Bart's iPod working again and I can't say exactly why, it wasn't that bad. But I do think the added 10 days may have added to the problem. I emailed him and let him know and also asked if he was interested in me leaving the device open so he could see how they are built, which he wanted. I sent it back with a $20 bill.

Ted Heller called from American Canyon, California near Napa.
He works in Santa Rosa at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital and is one of the few people I've met lately that is still a smoker.

The Heller's 2nd Gen Nano iPod was not holding a charge and they felt strongly it needed a new battery, and dropped it off prepared to spend the $70 for a battery replacement.

I've mentioned battery replacement in these is a BIG arduous task. When I actually got into it, I discovered the iPod had water damage inside that affected the battery and the logic board recharging circuits. Once I had processed the device for water damage I was able to get it to work perfectly.

Instead of $70 the total charge was $40

Fixed - Total cost $40.

Amy Drawe sent me her iPod from Hurricane, Utah.
There had some mishap earlier and what she was experiencing was the LCD having the screen present fine vertical blue lines only.

All other aspects of her Green Nano 2nd Gen worked. The scroll wheel, the audio amplifier, the battery and the recharge circuits.

I replaced the LCD and al the abnormal symptoms disappeared.

The LCD was $27 and labor/return shipping was $40

Fixed - Total cost $67.
