Dani Shockey lives here in Santa Rosa.
She saw my sign driving past one day and realized that "iPods are fixable". Her son's 5th Generation video had hearing only on the Left Side and his battery life was really short. She brought it by and left it off.

I had the headphone jack ($28) and the battery ($19) replaced and the device working later that day. With labor it was a $87 repair *and* ready to give back to her son fixed as a christmas present.

Fixed - Total cost $87.

Kelvin Lanier called me from Birmingham, Alabama about his 5th Gen 30GB video iPod
that he dropped in a toilet "one year and 3 months ago".

That bears repeating... there had been a 15 month lapse since he dropped it in the toilet and getting it to me. I took ti apart and was able to most of the major components working perfectly. The ribbon connector that the hard drive uses to connect to the logic board was... gone and the connection to the hard drive on the drive side was destroyed so those tow parts had to be replaced. BUT I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT WORK!!

This is now a record for me in terms of "time since water immersion". Previous the greatest time frame was 5 months.

The drive was $60 and the ribbon connector was $5 along with $40 labor/return shipping the repair was $105

Fixed - Total cost $105.

Kelly Kuhn called me from El Cajon, California near San Diego.
She had a water mishap with her 6th generation video iPod and had read about my work on the internet.

After she was assured she wasn't getting scammed she agreed to send her iPod and used PayPal as the method of paying the $40 start fee.

I was able to get iPod working except there was extreme corrosion in the headphone jack connection on the logic board and that had eradicated a couple of the traces on the headphone jack's own ribbon connection.

The replacement headphone jack/hold lock switch was $35 and labor/return shipping was $40 but for... $75 she got her system back perfectly again instead of paying $250 for a new one.

Fixed - Total cost $75.
