Angela Armstrong called me from Naples, Idaho
to discuss her 5th Generation video iPod that had something wrong with it in late summer in of 2008. In February of 2009 she called me again, hoping I was the guy she had spoken to months earlier. We only knew for sure when I started to type her email address and the address began to autofill.

In the intervening months her husband had decided to repair it himself. Originally it was battery, then somehow the logic board became damaged. He got another of those off of eBay and it was shipped from Canada. And yet he still couldn't get it to work.

She wanted to send it to me so I could "repair his repair". I'm always Okay with this and asked her to send along all the parts so I could evaluate the things he believed didn't work.

It arrived a few days later with $40 and a note saying the old parts had already been disposed of.

When I was finished going through her iPod I had it all working except the hard drive. She chose a 30GB drive. The drive was $60 and labor/return shipping was $40

Fixed - Total cost $100.

Jose Ochoa called me from Napa, California
where he works as a welder/machinist. The call was to set up and appointment so I could replace the drive and put a new battery in his 5th Gen video iPod.

It take a tiny bit over an hour to get his iPod finished. The drive was $60, the battery was $19 and labor was $40. Looks brand new now and functions like new.

Fixed - Total cost $59.

Margaret Kelley called me from Lubbock, Texas
about getting two iPods repaired. I recognized her accent immediately as being from Lubbock/Odessa. Years earlier I dated Soeurette Shook for a couple of years. She is the daughter of Ray Shook who founded Shook Tire Company that still operates in Lubbock. Margaret's accent was identical to Seourette's.

Margaret sent in two iPods that needed the LCD's replaced. One was a 5th Gen video iPod and the other was Nano 1st Generation. I had the repair by the next day and she received with a total round trip... Texas to California and back again of 6 days.

Fixed - Total cost $100.
