Steve Greenfield called from Cumming, Georgia
about his 6th Gen 80GB video iPod that found it's way into water. When we finished I sent him instructions on how to send it in.

It arrived a few days later and I was able to get it working again by the end of the day. Though Steve and I both thought it may need some parts replaced.... his didn't.

I got it working perfectly and it cost him just $40

Fixed - Total cost $40.

Leigh Singleton emailed me from Nashville, Tennessee
to discuss her iPod. The message read,

"I'm another Nashvillian who has dropped an ipod into water - well, in this case it was a bucket of Pine-Sol I was using to mop. Would you be able to see if it can be saved? Thanks for any help you can give."

Over the next message I was able to learn she had a 5th Gen video iPod and I sent instructions o how to send it in to me. I arrived a few days later.

I was able to get the iPod working but there was cloudiness in the LCD. You can see all the colors and the backlight works but it looked the screen in Leif's iPhone here

http://www.isickbay.com/call--1-877-IPOD-PRO/recent_fixes/recent_fixes_231.shtml

a new screen was $33. The battery connection was corroded, not surprising because it's near where water goes in through the docking port. So she need and battery and that was $19 All the files were safe and play.

The parts were $52, I sent a PayPal request for that amount. She paid it later that day and the fixed iPod was on the way back to her the next day.

Fixed - Total cost $92.

Nate Tappwrinkle called me from American Canyon, California
which is near Napa. He had smashed the CLD on his iPod and we went through the description I was lead to believe he had a 6th Gen video iPod. We set things up so he and his father could drive over on a Saturday morning and wait in the area while the repair was done.

It actually turned out to be a 5th Gen video iPod. They showed up at 8:30am and I had it ready for the at quarter past 9am.

The CLD was $33 and labor was $40. While he was here I taught Nate how to pull all the music files from his friends computers and add them permanently (for free) to his own iTunes Library. i hope he will tutor others.

Fixed - Total cost $73.
