Rachel Ludain called me from Henderson, Nevada about 5th Gen video iPod with a 60GB drive.
She described a problem that was suspiciously like a failing hard drive. She sent it in with $40 and it arrived a few days later.
In fact her drive was failing and needed to be replaced. The replacement 60GB drive was $60 and labor/return shipping was $40
Works perfectly now.
Fixed - Total cost $100.

Theresa Kelliher sent me her iPod Mini 1st Gen from Waukesha, Wisconsin.
She actually thought it was permanently broken, in fact it only needed a battery.
The battery was $10 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $50.

Ushma Vadher sent me her 80GB 5th Gen video iPod from Bensalem, Pennsylvania
with a problem I see all the time. She had hearing from one side, the left side only. This is typically the result of dropping the iPod with the earbuds still plugged into it and having the plug be driven far enough into it so the right side positive connection gets damaged permanently.
I replaced the headphone connection for her and had it back on its way the same day. The headphone jack/hold-lock switch was $28 and labor which includes return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $68.
