Jorge Franco lives in Virginia Beach Virginia (23464) and dropped his 32GB iPod Touch 1st Gen
in a hot tub in June of 2009. He placed it in a bag of rice for a few days and the device was then pronounced dead. He found me February of 2010 and sent it in to me. I have a 90% success rate with this model especially is it's fresh water like a hot tub.

I had the device here for a week working at getting it back and running and was finally successful.

Total cost was $60 to get his $510 Touch back working again.

Fixed - Total cost $60.

Linda Branagan lives San Francisco California (94122) in the Inner Sunset district.
She sent her non-working iPod Touch 2nd Gen to me with a letter that read,

" This iPod Touch was wiped down with a damp sponge in an attempt to clean it. Now the screen backlight doesn't work."

In her case there was moisture corrosion at the backlight's positive connection and electrical burning because her battery was well charged when this happened. The arcing at the positive connection is what took the LCD.

The replacement LCD was $31 and labor was $60. It all works again, with her files still safely on it, even the WiFi.

Fixed - Total cost $91.
