Max Van Soest sent me an email from San Rafael, California
that read,
"My names Max Van Soest and I have been having issues with my ipod regarding the headphone jack. When I plug headphones or my car adapter into my headphone jack sound only comes out of the left side of the speakers/headphones. I live in San Rafael but am attending Sonoma State. I would like to arrange a repair and get an estimate of parts and labor, I looked through your site and saw the 40 $ charge but wasn't sure how much parts would be. I attend school 4 days a week so could easily drop it off to you and pick it up, any help in the matter would be great!"
I got back and we set up a time for him to drop by. An hour later I had the repair finished.
It was $28 for the headphone jack and $40 labor. The iPod works perfectly now.
Fixed - Total cost $68.

Erika Schneider called me from Tampa, Florida
about her daughter's phone that been dropped in water. We went through the process and she... well more her daughter Esther really wanted me to work on her Samsung Propel (model SGH-A767). It was the best cell phone she had to date and really wanted it to work again.
It arrived a few days later with my needed check for $60 and it's wall adapter.
I took it all apart, found the problem areas and corrected things.
Fixed - Total cost $60.

Joan Dixon called from work at the Veterans Administration.
She lives in Baltimore and has a Nano 3rd Gen and uses it with a Windows computer which had suffered one of those "catastrophic events" that occur every 20 to 28 months with windows where you loose everything.
What she needed help with was a 'data extraction and file parking'. This is where I pull a copy of all the songs and videos off an iPod and park a copy back on it so they can be added permanently to the new Windows (or if they consider it more carefully Mac) computer.
This is the photo of here iPod. The "other" on it is a backup of all the songs that are on it. Total cost $40
Fixed - Total cost $40.
