How to bring an iPhone to me for Repair
»In an ideal world I would want to schedule your repair so I can allocate the time to phone specifically without interruption. Call or email me to let me know when you'd like to stop by with it.
Remember, when you break your iPhone, you basically have three choices.
1) live with the broken front assuming the LCD isn't broken, in many cases the digitizer and LCD still work, it's just the upper glass that is smashed and looks like hell.
2) Bring it to an AT&T store (because the Apple store doesn't deal with 'drop-ins' and you need an appointment) and pay minimum $199 (frequently more depending on where you are in paying off the "subsidy") for a replacement iPhone. That one will be handed to you B-L-A-N-K, empty, no contacts. You will have to go home and re-sync it to your computer (hoping everything that was on the old iPhone was sync'd recently) and then it will have "your personality" again... so repeating... $199 and a trip home plus a silent prayer that you had backed up (sync'd) your iPhone recently
3) Bring it to me (or someone like me) and have the iPhone repaired. It will require leaving your iPhone off with me for (approximately):
4G-4S screen - 45 minutes
3G-3GS screen - 15 minutes
Battery - 1 hour
Water damage repair - minimum 2 days
You will not have to hope that you sync'd back your information recently, it will all stay safely on your iPhone.
For water immersion, I need it a minimum of two days, and it could go longer based on how lucky I am with your specific problem.
From around the Bay Area I'm easy to find. If you take the 101 up through the North Bay, I'm 40 seconds off the 101 at the Steele Lane exit. Take that exit and bear right (heading east). I'm at the corner of the third right, Steele Lane at Service Court.
