I got an email from Lori Hines of Plymouth, Minnesota (55447) on December 11th 2009
about her daughter's iPod Touch 3rd Gen that read,

"Frank, My daughter dropped her Ipod touch in the swimming pool while on Spring Break last March. Do you think we could have it back from you before Christmas if it can be fixed? Thank You, Lori Hines"

I want out point out this was 10 months in the past, but for $30 at the worst it was worth finding out if it could ever work again and she sent it in.

They sent it on Dec 12th and I got it on Dec 16th. Three days later I had it working again... perfectly and all of their daughter's Calli's files were still safely on it. It did require replacing the upper glass/digitizer. Notice the WiFi connection is working again with a strong signal and it has a clear screen.

Fixed - Total cost $99.

I got an email one day from Carole Quandt who lives here in Santa Rosa California (95404).
It read,

"classic 30GB ipod dropped once too often at the gym. one channel out--in need of earphone jack replacement I think.....if I wiggle the jack itself around a bit I can pick up spotty second channel.

and a new battery while you are in there."

We set up an appointment and she brought it by. After chatting a few minutes, I began to realize that I knew her already. She and I had gone to Sequoia Elemntary School together when we lived in Rincon Valley as kids. Back then her name was Carole Chudwick. So we caught up a bit.

Her husband picked the ipod up repaired a day later.

Fixed - Total cost $68.
