Gabe Garcia sent me an email on October 22nd of 2008.
He is a sales rep for Continental Tire and lives in Newport Beach, California.
That day he was in Sacramento and wanted to know if he could come over and get me to
replace the headphone/hold lock switch of his 5th Gen video iPod while he waited.
I do this for people all the time so it was a simple yes.
He got here and before I could start he began discussing how his Windows based computer had suffered a catastrophic failure and was there anyway I knew to get the songs off of his iPod so he could add them back to his new iTunes Library. He hadn't spent enough time on my website or he would know that is a standard part of the labor I do here.
I pulled off of his iPod, his music, his video's and his photos and "parked' them on his iPod so he was able to add them back to his (or anyone else's or many people's if wanted to gift them out to all of his friends) iTunes Library.
The headphone jack was $28 and labor including data extraction was $40
Fixed - Total cost $68.
