Michael Dunev emailed me from Torroella de Montgri in Spain
about his wife's iPod. The message read,
"I have a 30 gb ipod, black, unsure of what generation (serial no 8K63004JTXK).
Whilst listening to my ipod this morning it stopped in mid-song and froze. A constant clicking sound ensued until it turned itself off (apple logo). Pressing the centre button and menu together gave me a sad-faced icon and the following link; http://www.apple.com/support/ipod. Then a message saying the battery was desperately low. Am I right to presume the hard disk has broken? Can you replace it if I send it to you?"
It arrived several days later with a check to cover the repair. I had the repair finished the same day it arrived and was on the way back the next day.
The drive was $60 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $100.

Jason Insdore called me from Oakland, California
about his 5th Gen video iPod. He was getting sound from the left side only of his iPod. I told him how to send it in and it arrived with a money order for $68 a few days later.
I had repair finished and on the way back to him the next day. Works perfectly, the headphone jack/hold lock wire harness
was $28 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $68.

Cara Donovan goes to Connecticut College
and called me from New Haven, Connecticut about her 5th Gen video iPod. She had dropped her iPod and cracked the LCD. Even though the screen wouldn't help she was still able to use her iPod if she navigated blindly but this was driving her crazy and she wanted it fixed.
She sent it in. I had it repaired and sent back the same day it arrived, Monday March 30th 2009.
The LCD was $33 and labor/return shipping was $40. Works perfectly now.
Fixed - Total cost $73.
