Chris Sadler called me from Ayden, North Carolina
where he lives about his daughter Hannah's 1st Gen ipod Touch. One night recently she had dropped it in the bath tub and as you would guess it had stopped working. He wanted to know the specifics about my work, get a feel for who I am and then if it all checked out he would send it in to me.
I am successful at 90% of the cases where a 1st Gen is sent in for water immersion. Theirs arrived a few days later and I was able to get it working again perfectly. All of songs and videos were still on it and notice in the detail shots that it has perfect WiFi connectivity.
Total cost to get her "life" back was $60
Fixed - Total cost $60.

Jill Claphan lives in Wichita, Kansas and called me about her son Dakota's 16GB 1st Generation iPod Touch.
It seems that Dakota was using it in the bathroom and.... wait for it... he dropped it in the toilet. Not uncommon for me to hear this and accidents happen all the time! We discussed how I do these things and what I needed her to do to get it to me. I sent a follow up email so she didn't have to write it down.
The iPod arrived a few days later and I by the end of the day I had it working perfectly again. Notice the detail photo showing it has perfect WiFi connectivity again.
Dakota is a metal rocker so he named his iPod after the Motley Crue bassist. (The lock code on his Touch is the year Sixx was born). Strangely my best friend Paul Taylor lived with "Emi Canyon" for several years (whose real name is Amy Canon, she now lives in Seattle) before she met and got married to Mick Mars.
Dakota got his Touch back and working perfectly for $60
Fixed - Total cost $60.
