Max Heegard lives here in Santa Rosa Ca and works for the VIP Petcare in Windsor California.
He has an iPhone that had two problems.. one dropped it in water... two in doing so smashed the upper glass. I'm good at both of these so he gave me a call.
Frankly, if I could overcome the water damage, then the upper glass wouldn't have mattered so that is the starting point.
I opened it up and went through it. There visible problems with corrosion at the battery and elsewhere. Took the work to deep level and then put it back together with a new display for testing and got it to boot with all of his information there.
Okay, now that I had the phone working, it was practical to check whether his LCD worked and then move onto the digitizer. I found I a good LCD so all I needed to do then was replace the upper glass/digitizer.
The part was $15, the labor for the whole project was $60... so for a total of $75 he got his iPhone back working again.
Fixed - Total cost $75.

Steven Grantham lives north of here in Arcata California (95521) and called me about his 5th Gen video iPod...
yes you guessed it.... he put it through the washer. He and I spoke so he could get a feel for me and my work and then consented to send it in.
It was actually here for a week while I worked my way through it. In fact there were two problems... one was his hard drive had failed, the other was the battery recharge circuits had been damaged by water. Ultimately I was able to get it all working again but it needed the hard drive replaced.
The drive was $60 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $100.
