I got a phone call from Mark Bolke in Vancouver Washington (98684) about his Nano 5th Gen.
He had put the device through the washer and drier, which is very common thing I hear here. It had happened weeks earlier but was just getting to solving its problems.
He sent it in and I had it here longer than usual because it arrived when I was away at the Electric Daisy Carnival 2010 in LA for the weekend.
Here is the device working again.
Fixed - Total cost $40.

Matt Batchelder called me from Kenwood California (95452) about his Black 30GB 5th Gen video iPod.
Like many people have happen he was getting sound from just the left side of the headphone jack.
It 's a standard problem that develops when you drop the iPod and it lands on the earbud plug driving it far enough into the iPod that it snaps off the right side positive connection. I had the repair done in an hour. The replacement was $28 and labor was $40
Fixed - Total cost $68.

Kayla Mendez called me from Novato California (94949) about her 16GB iPhone 3GS
which she had dropped and smashed the upper glass on. In fact if I remember right, it was on a car, that drove off and bounched down the road breaking it two or three times.
We set an appointment for the next day and I had her iPhone repaired and actually usable again in less than an hour. And I mean usable, look at that first image, there was no way to see much less use it.
Fixed - Total cost $75.
