Rebecca Emberton lives in Fairfield California (95433)
and works at the Vacaville State Correctional Facility. Rebecca got a hold of me in early August about an iPod, well tow of them. In her version she and her 'boyfriend' had a fight and he grabbed what he thought was her iPod and smashed it.
In fact because they were identical, he had smashed his own. Now... she realized the only copy of her music was on her iPod and needed a copy of the songs so she could load it into iTunes again. I discussed how I was able to do it and the charge is $40
Three weeks later, on September 1st I got this message,
"Frank,
Hi I just got paid and I'm ready to send you my ipod....I'm leaving on Sept 10th for Vegas so if I send it to you tomorrow do you think I will have it back by then or should I wait till I return?????
Bec"
Somehow she didn't get to it... my guess, Vegas money..
Finally on January 24th it arrived. I was able to get a copy of all of her songs off of it, which were about 23GB of material. Because of space I had re-format the drive and then move them to her iPod using it as an external hard drive and transport for the files. Notice in the photo there is a 27.4 GB capacity but just 5GB available and *ZERO* songs. That's because they are on the drive in a directory called "add_to_library".
When she follows my instructions (also found here: http://www.isickbay.com/call--1-877-IPOD-PRO/add_to_library.shtml) she will be able to the songs to her and anyone else's iTunes Library permanently. If she takes the iPod to a friends house, she can 'gift' them at no charge to her friend.
Total cost for the project and return shipping of the iPod was $40
Fixed - Total cost $40.
