Lea Van Lane sent her 4th Gen 40GB iPod in from Middle Island, New York.
She had called and we discussed her iPod's not having a working scroll wheel... PLUS the fact that she really needed a new battery.

She PayPal'd the $86 for the scroll wheel, labor, battery and priority with insurance mailing back.

I go her iPod on Friday February 8th and had it fixed and sent back by Monday the 11th.

Fixed - Total cost..$86.

Benny Tsui sent his iPod in from San Francisco, California.
He has a 5th Gen video iPod that had a broken LCD screen. This is a standard repair. I had it done the afternoon it arrived and sent back the next morning.

Total cost was $33 for the LCd and $40 labor/return shipping.

Fixed - Total cost $73.

Wilfred Lim called from San Francisco, California and discussed the problems he was having with his 4th Gen iPod.
As he and I continued to work the diagnosis on the phone I narrowed it down to what sounded like the logic board and he would need a new battery. He sent it in and I discovered that it wasn't the logic board, it was the hard drive that had failed.

I usually don't have a good working drive on hand to help someone out with this problem, but this time I did.

He sent a check for $75 that was to cover $15 for the battery, $40 for the labor and what would have been $20 for the logic board. In his case I substituted the 20GB drive for that $20 payment.

Fixed - Total cost..$130.
