I got an email from Stephani Stirm of Medford Oregon (97504) that read,
"Stephanie Stirm wrote:
> Hi Frank! I have bragged about your great service to friends (you have repaired 2 ipods for me so far)! A young friend of mine recently purchased a used ipod video 80gb. She can't get it to sync to iTunes. Do we need to send it to you or do you have any suggestions?

It arrived with $40 cash a few days later. I went through it and discovered it had water damage in the area where battery re-chage occurs and a couple of other spots... but I got working
I sent a message to her that read,
"Okay, it had water damage inside that was created corrosion at the battery contacts. I've put it back on its feet and it's walking all on its own again.
It arrived with the hard drive empty.. to test it I've added one song so I could make sure the amplifier and earbuds work properly.
Yes, I'm a gleek, so the song is Defying Gravity.
It's being sent back today."

I got an email from Peter Bunge who lives in Irvine California (92620) that read,
"Hello,
My wife’s ipod had water spilled on it several months ago. The display would work but it would not charge. It has sat in a drawer since then.
Shall I send it up along with a check for $40? We live in Irvine, CA.
Thanks,
Peter Bunge"
I replied back with send it in instructions and it arrived here about three days later.
It was here for about 3 days and I got it working properly again, then sent this message.
"Peter
I've gone through the iPod and have all cleaned up.
The battery needed to be replaced, which was going to happen sooner or later.
The part is $16. I'll send a PayPal request for that, cover it and the iPod is on the way back to you tomorrow.
I see you aren't a PayPal user, it will take 20 seconds to creat the account and pay the request.
Frank"
Fixed - Total cost $56.
