Tawny Tackett emailed me from Petaluma California (94954) about her iPhone. The message read,
"Frank-
I hope you can help me and my very sick iPhone. I had my brand new iPhone 3GS stolen out of my pocket in a market the other morning. I felt it happen and gave chase, the thief noticed that I was chasing him. He threw my phone into the street. It was ran over by a car. I was livid.
The glass is smashed and the LCD screen is damaged, however everything else seems to work just as fine as it ever did. My alarms go off and the little bit of the LCD that is working shows the correct time and date. I have been able to pull off all of my apps and pics and music. I can also add music, etc to the phone. From all of my research ( I am by no means any kind of expert) I think it may need new glass and LCD. The rest of the phone is physically sound. Not a scratch on the back of the phone. It landed glass down in the street.
I live in Petaluma and can come by almost any time. I work graveyards in Sonoma during the week so Sundays are better are better for me, but arrangements can be made if Sunday is not the best day for you.
From what I have read form your website the cost would be 89$. Is that parts, or parts and labor? Let me know how much I should bring.
Thank you so much for you time. Again, hope you can help.
Tawny"
We arranged for her to bring it and leave it off for an hour so I could make the replacements. When she came back it looked and worked perfectly again. Total cost was $89
Fixed - Total cost $89.
