Cassandra Rodriguez is here in Santa Rosa
and had driven by and always wondered, "Who would need their iPod repaired?". Then her relative in a moment of frustration slammed his Nano 2nd gen against a hard wall damaging the outer case and his iPod wouldn't start of work properly.
She called me and brought it over. Three hours later I called and said I had working again perfectly and would cost just the $40 labor rate.
She was thrilled and picked it up on her way home from work that day.
Fixed - Total cost..$40.

Jim Hunt called me from Phoenix, Arizona.
His iPod Nano 3rd Gen had gone through the washer and the dryer. In his case the dryer smashed the LCD beneath the faceplate, (very rare). By the time I had gone through it I got everything to work except his scroll wheel (and obviously the broken LCD). That scroll wheel and faceplate part is $40 and the LCD is $33 along with labor at $40 it seemed an impractical repair to me.
I actually recommended that he buy a refurbished Silver Nano 3rd Gen on the Apple website for $99 even though it had half the memory (4GB)
I sent his device back with a $20 refund on the $40 he sent in.

Greg Carlson called from Webster, Texas
with a couple of problems both water related. While out boating his Blackberry 8110 and his 5th Generation Video iPod both got wet. We discussed him sending both in... and let's be honest the phone is a Hail Mary Pass.. not clear what can done, but I know the moisture detector was activated so it would never be warranty replaceable.
He sent both items in (and included his wall adapter for the phone).
I have been able to get his iPod working perfectly. I have not been able to get the Blackberry at all even though I have mitigated all evidence of water based damage. I just won't "turnover".
The iPod rescue was just $40. I'm still working at the Blackberry 8110 and its water problem.
Fixed - Total cost..$40.
