Robert Markham called while traveling in Oregon. Before:
After:
He is actually from Murphysboro, Tennessee a town south east of Nashville. He described the problem he was having with his 5th Gen video iPod and it pretty much distilled to a permanently failed hard drive.

He sent it from Oregon and had it fixed and sent back the day after it arrived. These are the before and after shots.

The drive was $60 and labor/return shipping was $40. He used PayPal to send payment.

Fixed - Total cost $100.

Bob Cyrus called me from South Chicago Heights, Illinois. His 4th Gen Black and White iPod had a smashed LCD and he was certain his hard drive still worked.

I believed it and told him to send it in. The LCD was all that was wrong with it. The part was $10 and labor/return shipping back to Illinois was $40

These are the before and after shots.

Fixed - Total cost $50.

Beth Symington of Lake Jackson, Texas
called me one day. She had put her son Ryan's Nano 3rd Gen iPod through the washing machine and then dryer in the early part of July 2008.

She actually sent it in a month later with a check for $73 because the LCD backlight had stopped working.

With a new LCD I was able to get the iPod working faithfully again. It had good data connectivity and the battery charging circuits worked correctly.

The LCD was $33 and labor/return shipping was $40.

Fixed - Total cost $73.
