Michael Ocampo is a repeat customer.
He lives in San Francisco and went into a swimming pool with his Nano 3rd Gen iPod on August 12th 208.
I received it on August 21st and was able to get all working again with no added parts.
The total cost was $40 and the device left with all the files intact,
good data connectivity and the battery charging circuits working correctly.
Fixed - Total cost $40.

Anita Straube called from Sonoma, California
where she lives. She dropped her 5th Generation video iPod and from that moment only
got the starry eyed sad face when she went to turn it on. She brought it to the Apple
store downtown. Once she worked her way through an appointment, then the disappointment set in.
They said it wasn't repairable and the best thing she could do was to trade it in for 10% off of a new $250 dollar iPod.
She used the internet to find me and we discussed what the problem really was, that she needed a replacement hard drive and she brought it over.
An hour later she came back. It was completely repaired and worked beautifully.
The drive was $60 and labor was $40... well below the $225 the Apple store attempted
to manipulate her into spending.
Fixed - Total cost $100.

John Karman emailed me from Sterling, Virginia
about his daughter Megan's Nano 3rd Gen Nano. The message is a standard one that I get in a few forms all the time and read,
"My Daughter has an I-Pod Nano that took a trip in the Washing Machine. It has no power and we have not tried to charge it or anything since the immersion as we wanted to let it dry out. Do you think it would be worth an attempt at resurrection? My daughter would really like to try as she would rather give up her right arm than her I-Pod..lol PLease let me know and I will get the unit ready for shipping."
I sent him the instructions and it arrived a few days later. I was able to get it all working except the LCD screen. John sent in the needed $33 by PayPal and Megan's iPod was on the way to her the next day.
The labor/return shipping was $40 and the LCD screen was $33
corrosion detail
Fixed - Total cost $73.
