Maureen Stefenelli from Levittown, New York
sent her son Ron's iPod in to have the hard drive replaced. She and I had spoken on the
phone to determine what the problem was. The sound and screen she was describing were
unmistakably the armature sweeping to find the drive boot record. I instructed her on
how to run a restore and call if that didn't bring it back to health.
I got the call a while later and the iPod arrived a few days later.
The replacement drive was $60 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $100.

Mark Nample is veterinarian who works at the SPCA animal hospital in Fresno, California.
He called me to discuss an iPod that had been dropped into a bathtub of water and retrieved immediately. It was a 3rd generation Nano which I have a 7 out 8 typical recover rate. A few days later it arrived.
His was one that I was not able to make a difference in. I was never able to get it to
work at all. I sent it back with a $20 which is a refund of half the $40 he sent in hoping I would be able to get the iPod to work again.

Mario Castro called me from Sacramento, California
Before:
After:
basically to make sure that I really existed. People always like to check the pulse of a website before sending their fairly expensive device in for repair.
Once he was certain I existed, (people are always amazed to get me on the phone personally
though I say upfront I am the only one that answers my phone), he was comfortable sending
it in and it got 3 days later.
It arrived on a Saturday and I had it repaired and ready to send back on Monday morning.
The LCD was $33 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $73.
