I S Kolcio sent in his 4th Gen 30GB Photo iPod from Arlington, Virgina
because it had the folder/exclamation error and wouldn't mount much less work.

I worked at clearing the error and got the hard drive to work again then I was able to format and make it work correctly.

Total cost for Ithor was $40

Fixed - Total cost $40.

Simon Fanthorpe sent 3rd Gen iPod up from Los Angeles, California
with a desperate mission. His 15GB drive had mechanically failed and then come back to life once for him but now wouldn't boot up.

He sent it to me for data extraction (if possible). As it turns out his drive problems were severe. I actually took the drive apart to free the armature but it still couldn't locate any files on the drive.

I did have a 20GB drive that would fit into his iPod that worked so he got a replacement drive and a working iPod back.

The labor/return shipping was $40 and the replacement drive was $20.

Fixed - Total cost $60.

Bob Earl sent in his iPod Nano first Generation from Novato, California
to have me solder in a new battery that he bought on line somewhere.

The work is pretty fine soldering and I have the expensive fine point soldering pencil to make it happen.

He paid with 2 $20 bills and the device was back on it's to him a day later.

Fixed - Total cost $40.
