Nicholas Alvarado email me stating he needed to have his White 5th Gen video
fixed but wanted to make sure I had time to book it in. That wasn't a problem.
When it got here from San Mateo, California I determined his 60GB hard drive had stopped working and the battery was over two years old and wouldn't hold a charge so it needed to be replaced too.
The drive was $80 and the battery was $26. Labor with return shipping was $40 so the total to put his iPod back in order was
$146
Fixed - Total cost $146.

Gregg Sloane sent his iPod in from New Rochelle, New York.
His 4th Generation iPod had a battery that would last less than 5 minutes after being taken off the charger.
The new battery was $15 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $55.

Laura Devlin called on May 29th 2008 from Bainbridge Island, Washington
to discuss her daughter's iPod which had been dropped into a hot tub for a moment or two. That was on Saturday and she called me on Monday. I emailed her the information on how to send it in.
Here's a case where it arrived relatively quickly but if you look at the detail photo there had been a substantive
amount of corrosion that had already occurred. Her iPod was one that I couldn't save. It had both a logic board
and a hard drive failure. With the logic board at $90 and the drive at $60 plus my labor of $40, I suggested she
buy a refurbished 80GB 5th Gen video off the Apple site at $189 and sent her back her iPod and a $20 refund on the
$40 she had sent in with it.
