Marsha Halcrow from Novato, California
came by with her daughter. Her 5th
Gen video iPod just stopped working.
They left it off for me to analyze. I discovered the drive worked fine,
(we thought it was the problem) but the logic board had taken a hit and
didn't work.
I replaced the logic board put everything back in order and she got her
working iPod a day or so later.
The logic board was $90 and the labor was $40.
Works Perfectly now.
Fixed - Total cost $130.

Dr Mary Clemency called from Berkeley, California
to discuss her iPod that had been water exposed. After we got off the phone I sent her instructions on how to send it in.
Her Nano 1st Generation arrived two days later. I was able to get it to work perfectly and sent it back to her the day after it arrived.
Total cost to her iPod running and maintain all the music that was on it.. $40
Fixed - Total cost $40.

Annette Mogell emailed me from Boca Raton, Florida about her Daughter Kelsey's iPod.
She had dropped it in a puddle of water while away at college and set it aside for a while.
I emailed her instructions on her to send it in and it arrived a few days later. When I opened it up the interior was moist but in a sticky way as though there was a soft drink or perhaps a concentrate of some sort that had worked its way in it.
The daughter contacted me to assure me that to the best of knowledge it was a puddle of water not something toxic and I proceeded.
I had to replace the drive and the LCD. Her Black plastic faceplate was sticky on both sides I replaced
it at no charge. Her music was lost but her $350 iPod was made to work again for $173.
Fixed - Total cost $173.
