Lachelle Elliot called from Healdsburg, California
a bit north of here. She has a Green iPod Mini that she really likes but 3 years of use have killed off her battery and she needs it replaced. She brings it by for the battery replacement, surgery goes smoothly and it works beautifully.
Total cost for her $10 for the battery and $40 labor.
Fixed - Total cost..$50.

Sistar Aquadivina called from Oakland, California
to discuss her iPod Photo that has the "Folder Exclam error" indicating drive corruption. She sends it in with $40 in cash and the hope I can make it work again.
It arrives a few days later. She does not send her phone number or email address so I have a way to confer about things and doesn't include the specifics of what I out to solve for her, but the error is present so I can guess.
I start to work and am able to clear the error and get things working smoothly. because I still know if she wanted the data extracted or not, I run the song extraction and park a copy of all of her songs on the system. Then I package it and send it back with a note to call me when she gets it.
I get a call the next day and explain where to find instructions on how to add all the songs to her iTunes Library again. In fact she asks if it can be done more than once, and I explain using the techniques I have outlined you can do this over and over at each friend of yours computer system. She's thrilled with that and really grateful.
Fixed - Total cost $40.

A girl named Sophie called from Sebastopol, California
(about 10 miles from here) and described well known circumstances, she was hearing from the left ear only on her 30GB video iPod.
She read my web page on this and felt lucky to live so close. She had her father Gary Weiner drop the iPod off at 6:30 on January 23rd 2008. I told him the patient would be ready at 10am the next day.
I run things pretty casually here.. but honestly. Gary was expecting me to hand him a receipt for the iPod patient admission, (he's a JD , it's the way he thinks) and was almost alarmed when I said I have an internal work order by never spend the time to write to fill out a receipt for patient admission.
He relaxed after a moment and said, "well I do know where to find you I guess."
The iPod was ready at 10am the next morning and he came by after noon to pick it up. Total cost to make Sophie happy? $75
Fixed - Total cost..$75.
