I got an email from Roberto Martinez in Clemmons, North Carolina that read,
"Hello Frank,
I accidentally dropped my 80GB iPod Classic in the toilet (at least a couple of months back!) and it worked ok for a while. After some time it froze solid when accessing a specific spot in a movie, next time I was able to sync it (after much pain) I found that I could only load maybe 15GB worth of data. After that amount, it won't sync and has to be restored. I suspect a bad spot on the hard drive after which it cannot store anything else. With the economy the way it is I have been avoiding stopping by the Apple store fearing they'll ask for $200. By pure luck I hit on your website tonight and made me think there's a better alternative so I'd like to see if it would be worth if you'd take a look at it. What do you think?
Let's say it's a bad drive, about how much would that cost?
Thanks !"
I sent him back the specifics and it arrived a few days later. The replacement drive was $60 and labor/return shipping back to North Carolina was $40
Fixed - Total cost $100.

I got an email from Larry Ring who is a lawyer in Loomis, California
which is up in the foothills from Sacramento. The message read,
"Hi, Frank...
found you with Google.
Daughter's IPod headphone jack is acting up...only one channel, unless you press on the body of the IPod, then get stereo again.
Not sure if it is the jack or a cable connection.
Would like to send to you for a fix...
cost?
Let me know. We're in Sacramento.
Thanks."
It arrived a few days later and the headphone jack needed to be replaced. That part was $28 and labor return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $68.

Joseph Weber lives in Sonoma, California with his son who is very hard on things.
One of things his son loves is the XBox 360. Theirs had a problem with the DVD player. The drive drawer was hanging up in the travel in and out of the XBox so he called me to ask if I fix them too.
Most people that know me swear I can fix anything but a rainy day. I told him to bring it to me and I'd make it work correctly again.
Two days later I called him and told him I had it working properly. In this case I disassembled the CD/DVD drive and re-worked it so it would work properly again.
He had his XBox custom painted with the spider web motif. Look over his shoulder and you can see on the TV screen a CD I was playing in the device to test that I had made it work again.
Total cost to get their XBox 360 working perfectly (and get all the dust blown out it) was $80
Fixed - Total cost $80.
