Ronnie Riggs called me one night from Gambrills, Maryland
to discuss his Green 3rd Gen Nano. He had sent it on a trip through the washing machine and a couple of days earlier and it no longer worked. He had it less than a year and was fairly bummed abut it. I gave him what he needed to know about sending it in and it arrived a few days later.
I am able to make 7 out 8 Nano 3rd Gen's work again. Of that 7 typically three of them need to have their LCD replaced which is a $22 part.
Ronnie's iPod fell into that group, so it was $22 plus $40 labor/return shipping to get his iPod back working again perfectly with all of his music files still safely on it.
Fixed - Total cost $62.

Serena Bramble is a student around the corner from me at the Santa Rosa Junior College.
She actually lives in Forestville about 7 miles west and emailed me about her iPod Mini that needed a battery. We set up a time and she brought it by.
An hour later, it was ready for her to pick up again. The battery was $10 and labor was $40
Fixed - Total cost $50.

Margie Kessler sent in her iPod to me from Cincinnati, Ohio
after we had a phone conversation about her son's Black 5th Gen video iPod.
It arrived with a letter that read,
" Hi,
I learned of your ipod repair business through and article in Angie's List MAgazine. My son has an iPod which doesn't produce sound out of both sides of the headphones. He has replaced the headphones multiple times so we know it's not a headphone issue. I'd like to send it for repairs.... Of course this is something we would need to have done in as short a time frame as possible as we have a trip coming up in mid July"
She sent enough money to have me repair the headphone problem and install a new battery. The iPod arrived at 3pm on a Monday and was back the way to them at 5pm the same day. I'm sure it made it for their trip.
The headphone part was $28, the battery was $19 and labor/return shipping to Cinci, Ohio was $40
Fixed - Total cost $87.
