David Lipson is an animation producer in New York City, New York.
He is the producer for a bunch of things you've seen, Sesame Street, Howard Stern, Lizzy McGuire and what I know him best for is his work with Robert Smeigel on Saturday Night Live's Tv Funhouse, ambiguously Gay Duo, Dead Presidents.
He has a 4th Gen 40GB that had a bad battery he needed replacing. The battery was $15 and labor return shipping was $40.
Fixed - Total cost $55.

Michael Dick emailed me from Portland, Oregon where he lives about his 80GB 6th Gen video iPod. The message read,
"Hi Frank, Last weekend i dumped a glass of water on my 6th gen classic style iPod. You seem like the man to talk to about this matter given your track record. I would like to send my sick iPod down to you. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
Mike"
I replied back with instructions to send it in and it arrived a few days later. I went through the device and was able to get it to all work properly and perfectly without the need for replacing any parts. It as a terrific example of what i am able to do when I get the device here right away.
Total cost to get his iPod back working perfectly was $40
Fixed - Total cost $40.

In December of 2008, Matt Sheehan sent me a message from Mansfield, Massachusetts about his 5th Gen video iPod that read,
"I have a 5th generation ipod (i think) that has a broken screen. The ipod is a 30GB with color and suppots video. I also have a 3rd generation (i think) ipod that the battery doesnt hold a charge. If i send both of these to you, what will the cost be to fix them.
thanks
Matt Sheehan"
I sent him back instructions on how to send it to me safely.
Fast forward to August 2009 nearly a year later, it arrives. The repair was performed and the iPod was sent back the same day. The LCD was $23 and labor/return shipping was $40. Considering the months of torment in trying to look at the smashed screen, he will very grateful to get it back working with just 7 days total trip time.
Fixed - Total cost $63.
