Shelton Mooney lives in Virginia Beach Virginia (23456) and somehow his 2nd Gen 16GB iPod Touch
found it's way through the washing machine. Initially he tried to turn it on and got *one last bleak* screen then it died making a horrible noise.
I got the call and told him how to send it in. I had it here for two days and then was able to get it all working again completely including WifI and battery.
I had to replace the LCD which had an interlace problem. The replacement was $41 and labor/return shipping was $60
Fixed - Total cost $101.

Janet Gossett owns Jay's Engraving on Cleveland Ave here in Santa Rosa California (95403).
As with a few people you've read about here, she dropped her iPhone in the toilet. It went in head first and wasn't in long. In fact it was so short a time very little was wrong with it afterward except the camera wouldn't work.
She called me to set an appointment and then brought it over. Janet has a fixed way of doing and settling things and wanted a fairly exact commitment from me when I would have it finished. I told her I'd call her in 90 minutes once I had the moment to tear it down ( I had another phone here at the time already).
Once I had it apart I discovered there was corrosion that had built up at the LCD and camera connection which I had suspected I would find.
I had to replace the camera and was able to get it al working again.
The camera was $20 and labor for the iPhone 3G was $60. This is here with the happy smile people have when they leave here.
Fixed - Total cost $80.
