Lesley Harris lives in Holton Kansas (66436) and sent me this email about her son's new ipod Touch 3rd Gen
he had gotten for Christmas a couple of weeks earlier.
"Hi,
My 10 year old dropped his new ipod touch (3rd?) in water, and of course immediately turned it on and laid it on its back (read your info regarding this). It holds a charge and will charge up, when turned on it comes right up, however the slide to open doesn't work, so probably a touch screen issue. Any thoughts. Thanks"
I had her send it in and I was able to get it to work but only after I had replaced the upper glass/digitizer on it. After that I was able to work out other things and got it going completely including the WiFi.
Blake's christmas present was saved, total was $89
Fixed - Total cost $89.

I received a 16GB iPod Touch 2nd Gen in the mail from Jack Russell os Scotts Mills Oregon (97375).
It came with the needed $60 and a note that read,
"Here is my son's 16GB Touch. Five months ago his mother ran it through the washing machine."
I went through it and was able to restore all of its utility including the WiFi.
I had to replace the digitizer which was $19 so the total repair came to $79, a perfect save.
Fixed - Total cost $79.
