Tony Marquez lives in Saint Helena California (94574).
He has a business there called Executive Housekeeping. He called because the LCD in iPhone 3G had somehow cracked and this was without breaking the upper glass on the phone. He would drive over and I would make the repair for him the next momrning.
This is the type of thing I do all the time. The phone was here for an hour and replaced the part.
The total cost for Tony was $80, works perfectly again now.
Fixed - Total cost $80.

Christy Anderson lives east of Rohnert Park California on a hill with her parents
who have a vineyard on their porperty. Many people in Sonoma County have vineyards now. She works at Don Tomasi's archetectural firm over on Sonoma Avenue. Her iPhone 3GS had two problems. A smashed upper glass and a failed docking port/recharging connection.
She dropped it off on her way to work one morning and it was her mother that picked it when I had it "all better" again.
The upper glass replacement was $75 and the needed docking/charging port was $50. The total $125 was c-o-n-s-i-d-e-r-a-b-l-y cheaper than the $500 Apple replacement solution.
Fixed - Total cost $125.

Christopher Hahn sent me his 5th Gen video iPod from Miami Florida (23131)
because he was getting sound out of just the left side of his earbuds. I've solved this problem hundreds of times. It occurs when the iPod is dropped with the earbuds still plugged in and lands on the plug driving it far enough into the jack to snap off the right side positive connection.
You must replace the headphone jack/hold lock switch wire harness.
The part was $28 and labor/return shipping was $40. Total cost to get it bck working pefectly again was $68
Fixed - Total cost $58.
