Jose Daula teaches at the Steele Lane Elementary School (95403) which is just across the street from where I live and work.
He called on day to schedule an appointment to repair his daughter's iPod Touch 2nd Gen model. She had cracked her upper glass/digitizer and needed it replaced.
He dropped it off at lunch time and picked it up repaired 3 hours later when school got out. The part was $19 and labor was $60. It looks good and works perfectly.
Fixed - Total cost $79.

Chris Noland called me here in Santa Rosa... well he lives in Santa Rosa (95404)
and called me from Rohnert Park. He brought his iPod to an electronics repair store there and they referred his iPod repair work to me. He arrived with his 6th Gen video iPod about 20 minutes later. Chris had a failed headphone jack and scratched his face plate in the 2 years he's had the iPod. An hour after he dropped it off I had the iPod repaired. The replacement headphone jack/hold-lock switch was $35, the face plate was $10 and I threw in a new back plate so the ipod looked and performed factory new. With labor the total was $85 and an hour of his time.
Fixed - Total cost $85.

I got a a call from Mike Daly who lives in Sonoma California (95476) about his iPhone 3GS.
He is actually in his mid 20's but was rough housing with his brother one day and somehow the two of them cracked the LCD in his iPhone. Typically the upper glass gets cracked in an iPhone, only occasionally does the LCD break without an object breaking through the Upper Glass first. There are not enough 3GS LCD's to make repairs cheaply on that model. The brothers split the cost of the repair. The LCD was $85 and labor was $60.
Here are the before and After shots.
Fixed - Total cost $145.
