Jennifer Kellar found me on the internet and gave me a call about her Black 80GB 5th Generation iPod.
She lives in Long Beach California (90745, about 700 miles away) and had dropped her ipod one time too many and had cracked the screen. I'm always gratified when people find me that are distant from but trust who I am and my abilities enough to send their iPods to me.
Her's arrived a few days later. I changed the LCd and it was back on the way to her the next day. The total since she put it in the mail to me and got it back repaired was 5 days.
The LCD was $23 and labor/return shipping was $40
Fixed - Total cost $63.

Kelly Breeggmann called me from Boonville Missouri (65233)
where she lives about my abilities at resurrecting her son's 8GB 2nd Gen iPod Touch. It arrived with a few days later with a message that read,
"My son's iPod went through the washing machine. We did not find it until putting clothes into the dryer. I found your webiste while searching the internet for a 'cure' for it.
I'm sending it to you & hoping you can restore it. My son is lost without it!!
See what you can do.
PS As luck would have it, I have another iPod (a smaller one) the same thing happened to but happen over a year ago (went through the washing machine) It has never worked since.
We also have a Dell laptop that sustained water damage about a month ago while sitting on the kitchen island at the time the upstairs toilet malfunctioned (clean water) causing water to come through the ceiling onto the laptop. It doesn't boot up and hasn't worked since the incident.
Apparently water and electronics don't mix well at our house!! They keep finding each other."
A day after the iPod arrived I had it working again. All of the photos and songs were still on it and the WiFi worked perfectly.
I sent information on how to send the laptop in... who knows that may be arriving any day..
Total cost to get their Touch back working perfectly $60
Fixed - Total cost $60.
