Annette Clark called me from Helena Ohio (43435) where she lives about her daughter's iPod.
We talked about the problem and she sent it in a few days later. The accompanying letter read,
"Frank,
I'm sending an iPod Touch Gen 3 for repair. My daughter was in California a couple of weeks ago for a basketball tournament and when she returned home she accidentally washed her iPod in the washing machine. I sent it into Apple. They will not replace it under warranty.
I'm hoping you can save the submerged iPod. She did try to charge and turn it on. Little did we know that she shouldn't have done that."
I was able to get the Touch working again perfectly including the WiFi and it cost just $60
Fixed - Total cost $60.

Lorrie Jenkins called from Foxboro Massachusetts (02035) where she and her family live.
They are a military family and have moved quite a bit which is why she didn't have any trace of the native Boston accent.
She had put her daughter's red 5th Gen Nano through the washing machine. It was in her sweatshirt pocket. I worked at it over night and was able to get it working again completely with no additional parts.
Fixed - Total cost $40.
