Michael Torrez called me from Napa (94558) about his sister Roxii's iPhone 3G.
It had been dropped a couple of times... probably at least three times and had a really smashed upper glass/digitizer. We set an appointment for them to come over the hill and have me replace it.
The entire operation lasted about an hour. The repair was $60. While it was here I also jail broke it for them so they could personalize the phone further and add non-Apple blessed apps ;)
These are before and after shots along with her picking it up.
Fixed - Total cost $60.

Fabrice Florian lives in Mill Valley, California (94941) and emailed me at 4pm two days before Christmas,.
"Hi Frank,
The folks at the Marin Mac Shop in San Rafael suggested I contact you.
I just dropped my iPhone GS in water for a few seconds and was wondering if you could help me with it. I have another working iPhone GS with a slightly broken screen which could be used for parts if needed.
I live in Marin and could arrange to meet you in Santa-Rosa next week or the following week, depending on your schedule -- or could ship both phones to you, if you can return them back to me same day.
Can you help me, and what's the best way to get the phones to you?
In the meantime, what do you recommend I do with the iPhone?
Before I shut the iPhone down, it still seemed to work with opening apps and even composing emails, but the Wifi and cell phone connections did not work. The onscreen instructions said to restore it, which I did with iTune, but that didn't seem to solve the problem."
We set up and appointment and brought up the 3GS that had the water damage and what proved to be a 3g model that had a cracked upper glass. I had hoped I could take parts from one to use on the other but main components of each model are not inter-changable.
I moved the Sim from the 3gs to the 3G and replaced the upper glass so the phone looked and worked like new.
The upper glass/digitizer was $30 and labor was $60. He was pleased I could do it on short notice, since he was leaving on a trip for several days that afternoon.
Fixed - Total cost $90.
