Joeseph (Joey) Barnwell called from a bit north of here in Windsor (95492) about the smashed upper glass on his iPhone 3G.
Joey runs the Redwood Wine Group and actually sells California wine to a group of 21 wine stores in China... yeah, that China. About 85% of what he sells there is from Sonoma County, with the balance from Napa (I'm guessing cabs of some sort).
He dropped off his on the way to an appointment with the Cline Winery and came back about 90 minutes to pick it up finished and perfect again before his next trip to China which was in three days.
Total cost was $60
Fixed - Total cost $60.

Val Bolger lives in West River Maryland (20778).
Her son jumped into a swimming pool with his 32GB 3rd Gen Touch in the zippered pocket of his swim suit. We all know water and iPods don't mix. It was just carelessness. She called and we discussed the process. Strangely enough she was due to be roughly in my area about a week later. She and her husband were coming out to Sausalito from Maryland as part of a environmental conference and she wanted to pick it up personally.
The iPod got here about 4 days later. I went through it and got it all working but the LCD was very cludly from trapped moisture within the layers of the LCD and needed to be replaced. The part was $43 which they paid when they arrived to pick it up.
Notice the WiFi is working ;) really important to teenage boys! Total cost was $103
