Jack Dunnigan called me from St Albert, Alberta Canada (T8n 6G8) about his 32GB touch 3rd Gen which he dropped in glass of water.
Like many people he was actually surprised that I answer my own telephone calls and got me on the phone. He was fascinated that there was this guy that specialized in water repair of electronic gear sent to me from around the world. And I gained his confidence enough that he sent his accross the border for tme to look at.
I'm happy to say I was able to add his iPod to my list of success stories. It arrived with a couple of problems but the obvious one was there was no backlight on the LCD making it really difficult to see and use. I was able to tear it down, clean it, put it back together and thereby restore the LCD's utility.
Total cost for him to get his $300 iPod back working perfectly (WiFi included) was $60.
Fixed - Total cost $60.

Dennis Aucoin works as the Director of Information Systems for the Mitchell Companies.
They have offices in Meridian, Leland, Tupelo and Columbus Mississippi. The combimed companies work in the sign industry as well as the crane and erection industry. He called me from Meridian Mississippi (39307) about his Black 4th Gen Nano. He works at As I recall the conversation he put the iPod through the washing machine. Did I mention that Dennis is a previous client? I've become so good at this water immersion work, that people always count on the fact that I am going to make a successful save, even though I hardly guarantee it.
True to belief, I was able to make his iPod work again... perfectly... and it didn't require replacing any parts.
Total cost to get it back working again was $40
Fixed - Total cost $40.
