Sean Mahler sent me hiw 6th Gen video iPod from Salem Massachusetts (01970)
for a problem I see often enough. The scroll wheel had stopped working. There are differences in the 5th and 6th that lead the 6th to fail more frequently.
I switched out the part and it was back on the way the next day. The scroll was $30 and labor/return shipping was $40
When he got it back I got this message,
"Hi Frank,
Thanks for the repair. Works very well.
Sean"
Fixed - Total cost $70.

Jason Perdue's wife Jena called about an iPhone 3g that had a broken upper glass that needs replacing.
They live here in Santa Rosa (95405). Ultimately she had Jason bring it in. Jason heads up the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival that is held each March. It's kind of a cool and cerebral event that will ultimately attract try thinkers in our society to the area. I suppose a number of them will also move here. That's the way it works ; )
He brought the phone by and hung out using my iPad while I repaired the iPhone. Twenty minutes later I had it ready for him. Total cost... $60
Fixed - Total cost $60.

Tony Phachanc lives here in Santa Rosa and called about his iPhone 3G.
This was a rare case where in smashing the upper glass on his 3G phone, that he also broke the underlying LCD. I told him replacing both parts was an $85 repair and he came by just 20 minutes later.
I sometimes sense things, and had my weekly "Armin van Buuren A State of Trance" podcast playing when he walked in. I somehow knew he also listened to this and for several minutes we discussed House/Trance music and club raves.
A half hour later I had the repair finished. Another happy client.
Fixed - Total cost $85.
