Omar Flores lives in Brownsville Texas (78520) and runs and appliance repair business
there called My Repair Center. He dropped his iPhone 3GS into a swimming pool. He found me on the internet and gave me a call to discuss his circumstances. Like many people I speak about water immersed iPhones, he chares his iPhone with the supplied wall adapter. He has found it delivers more current and charges the battery faster than cabling it a computer and using the USB connection there which delivers just 1/10th the current and takes much longer to charge.

Because he almost nevers cables it to his computer... he never syncs it and that was his real problem. He a 1000 photos of his grandkids he had taken on his phone and no copies elsewhere, all of his contacts were on the phone and no where else.

So the real mission was to save the iPhone so he could safely get copies of everything off of it.

He waited 10 days more before send it to me *and* it arrived completely dead. A real challenge.

I field stripped it down to it's component parts and began going through them for water problems and testing them in other systems. By the next afternoon, I was able to get all working again P-E-R-F-E-C-T-L-Y. Good screen, good reception, all files still safely on it.

The critical apsects were handled. All of his files were saved *and* he now had a working 16GB iPhone 3GS again.

Fixed - Total cost $60.
