Lori Eger sent me her iPod from Seattle Washington (98119).
She dropped it in a sink of water one night. She has a 5th Gen video iPod.

In her case I was able to it working again except the headphone/hold lock switch. It is a very rare circumstance for this problem but her hold/lock would remain locked.

The part was $28 and labor/return shipping was $40.

All of her files were safely on it when she got it back.

Fixed - Total cost $68.

Steve Grantham is a previous customer. This time he sent me his 5th Gen video iPod
in from Arcata California (95518) because it been damaged by water.

I was able to get the device up and working again, except the hard drive. That part may have merely worn out with nothing from the water involved.

The replacement was $50 and labor/return shipping was $40

Fixed - Total cost $90.

Darren Rivas sent me about his Nano 3rd Gen from Charlotte North Carolina (28206).
The message read,

"Good evening,

I ran my nano through the wash and just noticed it. I googled the problem and came across your website. I wanted to know the next steps and see what can be done. Any probabilities on a successful recovery?

Thanks,
Darren"

In fact he also had a Canon Powershot camera with a problem which we discussed too.

Both of them arrived a few days later. I was able to get the Nano working within a couple of days. No additional parts were required, so the total cost was $40

Fixed - Total cost $40.
