Kim Reid called me from Napa California (94558) about her iPhones 3GS
which she had dropped in her swimming pool. I have become a widely recognized expert in iPhones that have been dropped in water.
She left it off in the monring while she was running other errands here in Santa Rosa. I worked on it through the early afternoon. When someone sends or bbrings me a phone, I drop everything else and make it a priority since it's the lens they communicate back to the rest of the world through.
By the time I was finished I had it all working again except the LCD screen. It's backlight wouldn't come on and had to be replaced. That was $65 part and the labor aspect came to $60 so it was $125 repair, but far cheaper than having to buy a new replacment because you are in contract but not near an upgrade ;)
Fixed - Total cost $125.

Lori Boccato called me from Los Angeles California (90004) about her iPhone 4
which she had dropped in a urine filled toilet. (Yes, I handle problems like this for people).
This would cost her nearly $600 for a replacement, since she got it and the contract for upgrade wouldn't come up for 22 months.
It arrived with a failed LCD but by later in the day I had all aspects of it working again, including the Blue Tooth and WiFi.
Perfect Save.
Fixed - Total cost $60.
