I got an email from Martha Fast here in Santa Rosa California (95404)... but I didn't know she lived here in SR. The message read,
"Today, my 4th gen, 32G iPod touch fell on it's corner and the screen cracked. I was wondering if it would be possible to replace it. How much would this cost? Whats the best way to get the device to you?
Thank You,
Martha Fast"
Thinking she lived out of the area, I sent her back instructions for sending the Touch in by mail. It arrived by mail two days later from about 12 blocks from here.
There wasn't anything unusual about her iPod and the backplate wasn't dented so when the repair was complete , the iPod actually looked brand new.
The total cost, parts/tax/labor and return shipping was $79. Looks great doesn't it?
