Donovan Almond's wife Jacqi called, she is a previous client. I've worked on her iPhone 4S before when she shattered its screen.
In this case the problem was with their iPad 2 which had been dropped a couple of weeks earlier. Both Jacqi and Donovan work at Solage Spa in Calistoga (which is part of the Auberge Resorts organization). They were originally from Virginia, then settled in Atlanta for school before moving to Sonoma/Napa County area of California.
Jacqi called weeks earlier about the iPhone and iPad needing repair, but the iPhone 4S was critical and first. A few weeks later Donovan brought over the iPad 2.
It takes 2 hours to replace the screen (upper glass and digitizer) on an iPad 2. I typically try to see if I can have them over night so my day's ration of pressure is spread out :)
In their case they dropped it off around 10 am and came back a bit after noon the same for it.
The total cost to get their iPad2 back working... total cost... parts/tax/labor was $108
