This one came in from a repeat client with the same repeat problem. Dinah Barrilleaux lives in Duncanville Texas (75137) and sent me this message,
"Frank,
This is Dinah Barrilleaux again. I have my husband's iPhone 4 that was in his pocket (dumb) while is was on his boat fishing. A quick storm blew up and a wave knocked him in the water. He's alright but his phone was drowned.
Can I send you his phone to see if you can salvage it? I have already transferred his number to another phone.
I have your shipping instructions from another email if it's okay to send I will ship off today.

Once I clarified that it was a fresh water problem, I had her send the phone. It was here for a day while I went through it and I got everything working on it again. Clearly the photos on the phone were critical. Notice I even got the WiFi working again.
Total cost for this was $80
I got an iPhone 4 in the mail from Kari Yates who lives in Kinmundy Illinois (62854). It came with a note that read,
"Was talking on the phone while finishing up dishes (which I NEVER do for fear of this happening) and it fell in the sink. It was there for several seconds while I was dumbfounded. The battery was half charged."
The iPhone was here for two days while I went through it and was able to get working again completely.
Total cost for her was $120 because it needed some replacement parts.
